Ive received a few queries about the cookies on social media,so I thought id share the recipe with you. You can easily attempt to bake your own. It’s quick, simple and addictive. The recipe has been adapted from the book called Sweet by Sam Linsell, which has all sorts of delectable treats. I chose this one because the method didn’t seem complicated at all as oppose to the rest.

 Ingredients (makes about 30-36)

  • 100 g butter
  • 125 g peanut butter
  • 100 g granulated white sugar
  • 100 g granulated brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 250 g cake flour
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • 3 ml bicarbonate soda
  • 3 ml salt
  • 100 g chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius. Grease the baking tray.

Cream the butter and peanut butter well. Add the sugars gradually and beat until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and then mix to combine. Add the cake flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt, mix briefly until the dough is pliable. Mix the chocolate chips in briefly.

Using your hand, roll small pieces of dough- approximately one teaspoonful at a time into balls and place them on the prepared baking tray. Press the balls flat with a floured fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes (20 minutes if you decide to make them bigger) until golden brown.
